From meandering Ozark rivers of Missouri to diverse marshes of Southeast Louisiana, I’ve been fortunate to kayak, fish, and explore waterways up and down the central United States. I began kayak fishing in 2015 as an affordable way to get off the bank and expand my fishing opportunities. Craig Dye calls Holly Springs, GA home but he was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA. He grew up fishing many locations in his home state of Louisiana; from Toledo Bend Reservoir all the way down to Grand Isle, where he fished for bass, redfish, and speckled trout. I am a career firefighter with a passion for fishing and photography. For my day job, I fly a drone for Fannin County Fire Department. I and started shooting photography for Nucanoe in 2018 and am now Nucanoe’s in-house photographer and drone camera operator. I grew up fly fishing in North Georgia, that passion for fishing turned into guiding. I now own and operate BR Charters in Blue Ridge Georgia, guiding local waterways. NuCanoe kayaks are a great fit for every type of fishing I do. We have crystal clear waters that stay cold year round. Trout of every variety are my passion, but I also spend a decent amount of time chasing smallmouth along with traveling to chase saltwater species such as tarpon, snook and redfish.

I can remember finding fishing as a young boy like it was yesterday. The passion that was ignited then, still burns as strong inside of me to this day. I try to share that passion to help continue to grow the sport of fishing for generations to come.
I’ve fished all types of fresh water lakes and rivers across the nation, and into Canada. I feel as if every body of water I find myself on, is a new adventure.
I’ve fished out of many different vessels, but found my true love to be fishing from a kayak.
The passion for kayak fishing has consumed me in more ways than one. The camaraderie amongst my fellow anglers, the connectivity to the water, and the uniqueness of it, has taken me by storm. So much so, I started a daily podcast that revolves around kayak fishing, the great outdoors, and the endless opportunities of adventures. I’ve dedicated most of my free time to not only fish tournaments, but to help educate the future anglers coming into the sport through seminars & podcasts.
In 2022 I let tournaments take a back seat, and focused more on product promotion, r&d with a few of the companies I work with, and really focused on providing quality images and videos for companies to use to promote & grow sales with their companies. I treat everyone of my partner- ships as a job not a hobby. I focus closely on a companies needs & wants, to provide creative new ways to promote.
I’m truly humbled by the opportunities that have been given to me to represent such an awesome sport, community, and brands. I always look to the future to find ways to keep that same flame that ignited me as a child, to be transformed into another person looking to get into the sport of fishing.
